Ara : A Bhojpur police team conducted raids at five sportsshops on Mahadeva road under Town police station, Ara, on December 1, 2017, evening and seized duplicate goods. Police also arrested the shopowners: Parvez Alam, Ravi Prakash, Dharmendra Kumar Jain, Ravi Kumar and Chandan Kumar. The raids continued late in the evening.
SHO, Town police station, J P Singh on December 2,2017, said that Shiv Naresh Company manufacturing tracksuits in New Delhi had received information that some sports shopowners at Ara were selling duplicate goods in the name of the company.
Manager of Shiv Naresh Company B N Singh and Spot Manager of the company S P Singh came to Ara and informed the Town police about it. The SHO Town police station formed a police team and along with the managers of the company conducted raids at the sportsshops in Mahadeva locality under Town.police station and seized duplicate goods being sold in the name of Shiv Naresh Company. Police also arrested the shopowners, the SHO said.
