Bagaha: Delhi police with the help Ramnagar police in West Champaran conducted raid at the house of one Gita Devi, wife of Murari Sharan Pandey, of village Sonakhar under Ramnagar police stationon Saturday and recovered about 164 cartons containing cosmetic goods.
Ramnagar police station SHO Bhartendu Deo said that one Tarun Nupunia, owner of JK Interprises of Shalimarbagh in Delhi, had lodged a case on August 17, 2016, with Shalimarbagh police station, alleging that cosmetic goods worth about Rs 40 lakh had been stolen rom his business premises. One Lalam Yadav of Majhaulia police station in West Champaran was arrested in this connection and on his confessional statement, the raid was conducted before a magistrate Mohd. Alam, BDO, Ramnagar, on Saturday. The owner of the house Gita Devi told to the police, two persons had come to her and took the house on rent for opening their shop there and after keeping the goods they gave her an advance of Rs 500 but did not return.
