Bokaro  (Jharkhand) : Exhibiting exceptional performance, 48 students of DPS Bokaro, Jharkhand, have qualified for the State Level Vidyarthi Vigyan Manthan (VVM) 2019, a national programme jointly organised by Vijnana Bharati, NCERT, and Vigyan Prasar with the objective to identify keen knowledge seekers in Science and then nurture them for higher level of science education. Altogether 128 students from different schools of Jharkhand have qualified for this of which 48 students i.e. 37.5 percent of the total qualifiers, are from DPS Bokaro.

Amongst the schools that participated at the prestigious VVM  Test from Jharkhand, DPS Bokaro took away the lion’s share followed by Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Hussainabad, Palamu, whose 24 students qualified for the next round and 19 students of DAV, Hazaribagh, also made it to the next round from the state.

The DPS Bokaro students who have qualified and will take up the state level examination are: Dhruv Satyam, Kumar Anmol, Malvin Parira, Rishabh Kumar Dubey, Rishika Dutta, Samruddha Shivam, Sofia Aqueel, Subhash Suhasaria, Utkarsh, Yasharth Gautam, Abhinav Abhi , Abhineet Sharan, Abhishek Roy, Aditya Dube, Aditya Kumar, Aditya Ratna Jha, Agrima Prasad, Arush Banerjee, Aryan Kumar, Farhan Khan, Harshit Anand, Kanisth Sharma, Pranshu Pathak, Rishima Chandra, Shreshtha Rupam Dwivedi, Swapnil Snigdh, Tejas Nandan, Yash Sinha, Amitayush, Ishita Ghosh, Shigra, Simran, Tamanna Ray, Vaishnavi Kumari, Yash Vardhan, Anamika, Khushi Bharti, Priyanshu Kashyap, Sadaf Mohsin Zafar, Tanu Shree, Akshat Kumar, Anshu Priya, Shikhar Sharma, Aryan Doshi, Kshitij Ranjan, Niranjan Verma, Utkarsh Kumar, and Vipul Vaibhaw.

The state level examination for this test that critically analyses the scientific acumen of students will take place next month after which those qualifying from the state will make it to the National  Level of VVM. VVM examination includes Written Test, Observational Analysis of Video Clips, Situation Problem Solving, and Hands on Activities.

Principal, DPS Bokaro, A S Gangwar, expressed his delight over the commendable achievement of his students and said that this is the outcome of the hard work and perseverance of the students under the  proper guidance of their teachers.
