New Delhi : The surge in the number of COVID-19 patients being declared cured continues in India reaching 13,28,336 at 8 am on August 6, 2020, an increase of 46,121 during last 24 hours, exceeding the number of active cases by 7,32,835. The number of active cases in the country stands at 5,95,501.

COVID-19 death toll in India has climbed to 40,699 with 904 new deaths being reported from different parts of the country during last 24 hours including 334 from Maharaashtra, 100 from Karnataka, 77 from Andhra Pradesh, 61 from West Bengal, 40 from UP, 29 from Punjab,  23 from Gujarat, and 11 from Delhi.

The Coronavirus death toll break-up in India is : Maharashtra (16,476), Delhi (4,044), Tamilnadu (4,461), Gujarat (2,556), Karnataka (2,804), Uttar Pradesh (1,857), West Bengal (1,846), Andhra Pradesh ( 1,681), Madhya Pradesh (929), Rajasthan (745), Telengana (589), Haryana (455), Punjab (491), J&K (426), Bihar (355), Odisha (2225), Jharkhand (136), Assam (121), Uttarakhand (98), Kerala (94),  Chhattisgarh (71), Puducherry (65), Goa (64), Tripura (31), Chandigarh (20), Himachal Pradesh (14), Andaman & Nicobar (14), Ladakh (7), Manipur (7), Meghalaya (5), Nagaland (6), Arunachal Pradesh (3), Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu( 2), and Sikkim (1).

As far COVID patients getting cured goes, in Maharashtra 3,05,521, patients have been cured till date followed by 2,1 4,815 in Tamilnadu, 1,26,116 in Delhi, 1,04,354 in Andhra Pradesh, 74,679 in Karnataka, 60,558 in UP, 58,962 in West Bengal, 49,433 in Gujarat, 42,414 in Bihar, 35,892 in Assam, 33,849 in Rajasthan, 31,960 in Haryana, 26,064 in MP, and 15,244  in J&K.
