44 criminals lodged in differents jails of Patna to be shifted outside

Patna : DIG, Central Range, Patna, Rajesh Kumar, on August 18, 2018, issued directive to District Magistrate (DM) and SSP, Patna, to shift 44 notorious criminals lodged in different jails of Patna to Gaya, Bhagalpur, Muzaffarpur and Buxar Central Jail at the earliest.

The 44 criminals include Bindu Singh, Ajay Kanu alias Ajay Kumar alias Chandra Prakash, Rit Lal Yadav, Durgesh Sharma, Pankaj Sharma, Sonu Singh, Sikandar Rai alias Sikandar Yadav, Amit Kumar Singh, Vicky Mobile, and Bablu Gope, all lodged in Beur Central jail.

The DIG, in a communication to DM and SSP, Patna, said that these 44 criminlas were commiting crime through their henchmen by using mobile phones from behind the bars. Several cases had been lodged against them in this connection, the DIG said adding he had asked Additional SP (Operations), Patna, to identify such criminals by visiting Beur, Phulwarisharif, Masaurhi, and Danapur jails and the respective police stations in Patna district.

The Additional SP had submitted the list of 44 such criminals to the DIG, Central Range. The DIG has asked the DM and SSP to not only shift them to jails outside Patna but also ensure that they are kept in separate cells there with CCTV covering their activity round the clock. The DIG also said that the trial of these criminals in different cases should also be held through video conference.

The remaining 34 criminals are : Rajesh Kumar, Manish Kumar, Deepak Mahto, Surendra Mahto, Ajay Shastri alias Ajay Paswan, Nandan Mahto, Ranjeet alias Kaalia, Rupesh Kumar, Laddoo Patel alias Vijay Patel alias Pappu, Nanadan Kumar, Zed Anwar, Nishant Kumar alias Nishu, Shahnawaaz alias Shanu, Neeraj Singh alias Shivam Singh, Ankit Kumar alias Happy, Manoj Rai, Nishu Khan, Rajiv Gope, Gulab alias Abhishek, Abhishek Kumar, Vikas Kumar alias Amresh alias Chhotu, Vipul Sharma, Anish Kumar, Vidyanand Kumar alias Othkatwa, Anil Yadav alias Anil Tiger, Neraj Singh, Mohd Tahmeed alias Simmi alias Chhimmi, Sumant Kumar alias Vijayee Shah, Vikas Kumar Singh  alias Vicky, Nitish Kumar alias Bittu, Rocky Kumar, P K Yadav alias Prem Kumar alias Dhananjay Yadav, Kamlesh Yadav, and Kundan Singh.

Out of the 44 criminals, 33 are lodged in Beur Central jail, 6 in Danapur jail, 4 in Barh jail, and 1 in Masaurhi Sub- jail.
