Motihari :  On the first day of Intermediate Examination on February 1, 2022, in East Champaran District in North Bihar, around 400 girls examinees  were forced to write their Hindi paper under the light of government vehicles at Maharaja Harendra Kishor College Centre,  Motihari town,  as  the second sitting of examination started  at  4.30 pm .The electricity supply had failed  and the second sitting of the   examination was scheduled to start at 1.45 pm started at  4.30 pm exposing the mismanagement at the examination centre.

Sanjay Kumar, District Education Officer  (DEO), aid that the Centre Superintendent has been changed a new examinationSsuperintendent has taken charge of the exam centre . Actually,  the first sitting started at  9.30 am and ended at  12. 45 pm but the second sitting  could not start in time  as  the girl students  were not ready to sit in dark room where visibility was not proper due to  cold wave co ndition. This centre has  generator as  stand by    but  it was not functioning properly.This second sitting finally ended at 9 pm.

Large numbers of  guardians and examinees had assembled at examination centre and were shouting slogans against mismanagement at centre . DM Shirshat Kapil Ashok,,SDM Suman Saurabh, and SDPO Arun Kumar Gupta, with police forcereached at centre and  controlled  the situation. The  DM  asked the DEO  to take action against  the Cntre  Superintendent  immediately  and start the second sitting. He asked the DEO to  provide power supply with new generator  .
