Patna : A total of 799 more persons tested positive for Covid-19 in Bihar on February 1, 2022, down from 824 cases on January 31, 2022, taking the count of Active cases in the state to 3,752 on February 2, 2022. The Active cases count in the state was 4,723 on February 1, 2022. Bihar reported 2 new deaths due to Covid-19 in last 24 hours taking the toll to 12,226 in the state on February 2.
The 799 new Covid-19 cases included 228 in Patna, 44 in West Champaran, 41 in Purnia, 33 in Saamastipur, 30 in vaishali, 27 in Bhagalpur, 27 in Saharsa, 27 in Saran, 22 in Begusarai, 18 in Madhepura, 18 in East Champaran, 16 in Madhubani, and 9 from other states, according to State Health Department figure. The state tested 1,50,210 samples on February 1, 2022.
Bihar has logged 8,25,424 Covid-19 cases since the outbreak of the pandemic of which 8,09,445 patients have recovered including 1,768 in last 24 hours with the recovery rate (RR) improving to 98.06 % on February 2, 2022, from 97.94 % on February 1, 2022.
