Bokaro ( Jharkhand) :  Two former ministers Jaleshwar  Mahto and OP Lal  along with  38 protesters were arrested on June 15, 2017, for allegedly attacking Alleppy Express train and later forcibly stopping a goods train between Tetulmari and Nichitpur stations near Goshala under Dhanbad division of East Central Railways (ECR). They were protesting the closure of rail traffic on Dhanbad- Chandrapura (DC) route from June 15.

As per police, the stone throwing  incident took place at about 11 am on June 15 as soon as the Alleppy Express reached near the outer signal of Nichitpur station near Doshala (on Dhanbad- Gomoh station route). Several protesters  started pelting stones on the moving Alleppy Express damaging its several window panes. Later, the protesters even forcibly stopped a goods train. After this message was flashed to Dhanbad DC A Dodde, he along with Dhanbad SSP R M Chouthey rushed to spot and got 40 persons arrested

Dhanbad SSP Chouthey informed that though 37 of the  40 arrested will be released in late evening hours, three persons found attacking  and damaging rail property will be sent to jail on June 16.
