Bettiah : West Champaran SP Jayant Kant while addressing a presser at Bettiah on September 13, 2018, said that a police team headed SDPO, Narakatiaganj, Nishar Ahmad, seized fake Indian currency of the face value of Rs 14,700 had been seized from the possession of four smugglers including a woman.
The arrested smugglers were identified as Naurina Khatoon of Baikunthawa Mainatand, Chhote Devan and Shamsuddin Mian, both of Sahodra in West Champaran district, and Sheoshankar Chaurasia of Bheriharawa in Nepal.
Four criminals held : Police also arrested four other criminals with two loaded countrymade guns, three mobile phones besides few live cartridges from Manuyapul police out post area under Bairia police station of the district on September 12. They were identified as Bittu Kumar, Eshwar Bhagat, Raju Kumar, and Ashutosh Kumar. They were sent to jail on September 13.
