Sitamarhi: Four seriously injured labourers of a construction company were rescued from the debris of a bridge which was being dismantled was  at village Dhodhani on NH 104 under Parsauni block in Sitamarhi district on March 24, 2017, and efforts were on to rescue the remaining around half a dozen labourers.

The work on the widening of Sitamarhi – Sheohar NH 104 is underway. An old RCC bridge was being dismantled when the incident took place. Sitamarhi DM Rajiv Raushan is monitoring the rescue operation. A large gathering of locals is also lending a helping hand in removing the debris.

Two injured labourers were forwarded to Sri Krishna Medical College Hospital (SKMCH), Muzaffarpur, in view of their critical condition. The remaining rescued labourers are undergoing treatment at Sadar hospital Sitamarhi.
