Ara : Four persons including a woman were killed in separate incidents at different places in Bhojpur district during last 24 hours. Police brought the bodies over to Ara Sadar Hospital for post-mortem.

A coaching institute owner Arun Kumar Singh, son of Brij Bihari Singh of village Bakharia under Ara Muffassil police station, was returning from village Cherai village. In his bid to board a running train near Jagjiwan Halt under Danapur Division of Each Central Railway (ECR), Hajipur, came under the wheel of the train and was crushed to death in the late evening on July 2, 2018.

In another incident, a mother of four children Dhanwanti Devi, 45, wife of Raj Kumar Yadav of village Bhadwar under Chandi police station, fell from a running train near Kulharia railway station under Danapur Division on July 2 night. Police said that she had come out of her house in a fit of anger after a family dispute. Her family members searched for her and inally her body was found on the railway track.

Dhanoj Singh, 25, son of Ajay Singh of village Jahanpur under Chandi police station, was crushed to death by a speeding truck near Piania village under Udwantnagar police station on Ara-Sahar main road on July 3, 2018, when he was coming to Ara on his motorcycle. The villagers caught the truck driver and handed him over to police.

In yet another incident, Gajendra Sharma, 35, son of Ram Swaroop Sharma of village Kundeshwar  under Shahpur police station in Bhojpur district, was crushed to death on July 3, 2018, morning, on way to his village from Ranisagar when his motorcycle collided head-on with a speeding bus coming from Brahmpur near Kundeshwar bridge.

Irate villagers blocked NH 84 Ara-Buxar main road with the body of the deceased paralysing  movement of vehicles for about two hours. They raised slogans against the police administration and demanded action against the bus driver and check in the speed of the vehicles.

Later, SHO, Shahpur police station, Shambhu Kumar Bhagat and others persuaded the protesters to remove blockade. Police brought the body over to Ara Sadar Hospital for postmortem.
