4 clinics run by quacks sealed at Bagaha

Bagaha : Four private clinics allegedly being run by quacks were sealed under  Bagaha Sub-Division in West Champaran district on January 4, 2018, following raids conducted by two flying squads in Malakauli, Rampur and Harnatand localitie. The raids were conducted to check mushroom growth of quacks under Bagaha-1 block.

SDM, Bagaha, Sub- Division, Ghanshyam Meena, had constituted two flying squads comprising Government Medical Officers (MOs) including Dr S N Mahto after receiving complaints from the locals and patients. One of the squads was led by the SDM and other by Anil Patel, Additional Election Officer Bagaha.

The SDM said that at Malakauli clinic two patients were found in serious condition but the suspected quack S N Rai escaped seeing the squad members. The patients were sent to Sub- Divisional hospital, Bagaha, for treatment.

Raids were also conducted at Rampur, where a quack Nasiruddin Ansari was found treating patients. Two clinics at Harnatard Hoda and Birja Pathology were also sealed and and FIRs are being registered against them, the SDM said.
