Ara : Bhojpur police, on a tip off, arrested three members of a gang involved in realising money from truck and bus drivers posing as police personnel and also seized about Rs 3 lakh cash, three mobiles, one liver cartridge, two blank cartridges, and a Scorpio from their possession in the wee hour on November 29, 2018, from an area under Udwantnagar police station.

The arrested imposters were identified as Kamakhya Narayan Chaudhary, son of late Ram Dayal Chaudhary of Belaur under Udwantnagar police station, Rohit Kumar, son of Awadhesh Kumar of village Narayanpur under the same police station, and Purushottam Kumar Singh alias Chunnu Singh, son of Randhir Singh of Badgaon under Azimabad police station in Bhojpur district. However, two miscreants Jitendra Paswan and Babloo Singh escaped taking advantage of the darkness.

Bhojpur SP Aditya Kumar said that he got information that some miscreants were realizing money from the truck and bus drivers between Jainagar and Kharauni villages on Ara-Sahar main road under Udwantnagar police station posing as police personnel. He immediately directed the Station House Officer Rajeev Ranjan to arrest the miscreants. The SHO along with police force conducted raids in the area and arrested three persons in police uniform though two of their accomplices escaped.
