Muzaffarpur : Three bogies of  Saptakranti Superfast Express suddenly caught fire and were completely burnt at 7 pm on August 25, 2017, at Muzaffarpur railway station in North Bihar.

The train had reached Muzaffarpur from Anand Vihar railway station, Delhi, on August 25 morning and was in the railway yard for maintenance where its three boggies suddenly caught fire in the evening and were in flames for half-an-hour. Divisional Railway Manager (DRM), Samastipur, under East Central Railway (ECR), Atul Sinha, has ordered a probe into the incident. A team of four railway officers will probe the incident. Meanwhile, 11 trains from Bihar have been cancelled due to turmoil in Haryana.
