Patna : Covid-19 recorded in Bihar rose to 2,59,766 cases on January 23, 2021, afternoon, with 149 more persons including 60 from Patna, 8 each from Banka, Begusarai, and Bhagalpur, 5 each from Nawada and Samastipur, and 4 each from Darbhanga, Rohtas, and Vaishali, testing positive for the pandemic on January 22, 2021.
Of the 2,59,766 Covid-19 cases recorded so far in Bihar, altogether 2,55,741 patients have been declared cured including 203 in last 24 hours with the recovery rate (RR) being 98.45%. The number of active cases in Bihar was 2,548 on January 23, 2021. Bihar has tested 20408181 samples so far including 83,262 samples on January 22, 2021.
The Covid-19 toll in Bihar jumped to 1,476 on January 23, 2021, with 4 new deaths being recorded in the state in last 24 hours including 2 in Patna, and 1 each in Sitamarhi and darbhanga. The toll climbed to 408 in Patna on January 23, 2021.
