Patna : The Covid-19 cases recorded so far in Bihar rose to 2,58,739 on January 17, 2021, afternoon, as 211 more persons including 107 from Patna, 13 from Bhojpur, 11 from Begusarai, 8 from Muzaffarpur, 7 from East Champaran, and 6 from Nalanda, tested positive for the pandemic on January 16, 2021.
Of the 2,58,739 Covid-19 cases recorded till date in Bihar, a total of 2,53,569 patients have been declared cured including 383 in last 24 hours with the recovery rate (RR) being 98%. Bihas tested 1,99,01,779 samples so far including 83,629 samples on January 16, 2021. The number of active cases in Bihar was 3,712 on January 17, 2021.
The Covid-19 toll increased to 1,459 in Bihar on January 17, 2021, with 4 new deaths being recorded in the state in last 24 hours including 1 each in Jehanabad, Begusarai, Saran, and Buxar.
