Patna : The Covid-19 cases recorded till date in Bihar rose to 2,47,244 on December 20, 2020, afternoon, as 599 more persons including 253 from Patna, 36 from Saran, and 35 from Muzaffarpur, tested positive to the pandemic on December 19, 2020.
According to State Health Department figure, 26 persons from Lakhisarai, 25 from Begusarai, 14 from Bhojpur, 13 from Nawada, 13 from Banka, 12 from Sitamarhi, 10 each from Gaya, Jehanabad, Samastipur, and Nalanda, and 9 each from Munger, Saharsa, and Vaishali, also tested positive to Covid-19 on December 19, 2020.
Of the 247244 Covid-19 cases recorded so far in Bihar, altogether 2,40,915 patients have been declared cured including 584 in last 24 hours with the recovery rate (RR) being 97.44%. The number of active cases in Bihar was 4,976 on December 20, 2020. The state has tested 1,71,14,663 samples so far including 1,18,915 samples on December 19, 2020.
the Covid-19 toll in Bihar climbed to 1,352 on December 20, 2020, with 5 new deaths being recorded in the state in last 24 hours including 4 from Patna and 1 from Sheikhpura. The toll jumped to 360 in Patna on December 20, 2020.
