Patna : The Covid-19 cases recorded so far in Bihar climbed to 2,45,933 on December 18, 2020, afternoon, as 535 more persons including 179 gfrom Patna, 35 from Saran, 26 from Nawada, 24 each from Gaya and Muzaffarpur, and 21 from Begusarai, tested positive to the pandemic on December 17, 2020.
According to State Health Department data, 19 persons from West Champaran, 14 from Katihar, 13 each from Saharsa, Samastipur, Arwal, and East Champaran, 11 from Bhagalpur, 10 each from Sitamarhi, Siwan, and Vaishali, 9 from Jehanabad, and 8 each from Bhojpur, Lakhisarai, Madhubani, Munger, and Nalanda, also tested positive to Covid-19 on December 17, 2020.
Of the 245933 Covid-19 cases recorded till date in Bihar, altogether 2,39,538 patients have been declared cured including 581 in last 24 hours with the recovery rate being 97.40%. The number of active cases in Bihar was 5,053 on December 18, 2020. Bihar has tested 1,68,74,214 samples so far including 1,22,444 samples on December 17, 2020.
The Covid-19 toll incraesed to 1,341 in Bihar on December 18, 2020, with 4 new deaths being recorded in the state in last 24 hours including 3 from Patna and 1 from Sheikhpura. The toll jumped to 352 in Patna on December 18, 2020.
