Patna : The Covid-19 cases recorded in Bihar rose to 2,42,748 on December 12, 2020, afternoon, as 596 more persons including 240 from Patna and 62 from Gopalganj tested positive to it on December 11, 2020.
According to State Health Department figure, 19 persons from Muzaffarpur, 17 each from Sitamarhi, Jehanabad, and Nawada, 15 each from Sheohar and Gaya, 14 from Araria, 13 each from Nalanda and Begusarai, 12 from Katihar, 11 from Saran, 10 from Siwan, and 9 deach from Jamui, Bhojpur, and Bhagalpur,also tested positive to Covid-19 on December 11, 2020.
Of the 2,42,748 Covid-19 cases recorded in Bihar so far, a total of 2,36,189 patients have been declared cured including 575 during last 24 hours with the recovery rate being 97.30%. The number of active cases in Bihar was 5,241 cases on December 12, 2020. Bihar has tested 1,61,54,121 samples so far including 1,20,706 samples on December 11, 2020.
The Covid-19 toll climbed to 1,317 on December 12, 2020, with 5 new deaths being recorded in the state during last 24 hours including one each from Patna, Buxar, Madhubani, Madhepura, and Lakhisarai. The toll increased to 340 in Patna on December 12, 2020.
