Patna : The Covid-19 cases recorded so far in Bihar climbed to 2,40,249 on December 8, 2020, afternoon, as 684 more persons including 263 from Patna, 29 from Katihar, 25 from Madhubani, 25 from Muzaffarpur, and 20 from Gaya tested positive to it on December 7, 2020.
According to State Health Department figure, 20 persons each from Lakhisarai and Rohtas, 19 from Kishanganj, 18 each from Madhepura and Nalanda, 17 from Araria, 16 each from Purnia and Supaul, 15 from East Champaran, 14 from Begusarai, 11 from Nawada, 10 each from Aurangabad, Bhagalpur, Saran, and Siwan, and 9 from Jehanabad, also tested positive to Covid-19 on December 7, 2020.
Of the 2,40,249 Covid-19 caxes recorded in Bihar till date, a total of 2,33,791 patients have been declared cured including 674 during last 24 hours with the recovery rate being 97.31%. The number of active cases was 5,157 in Bihar on December 8, 2020. Bihar has tested 1,56,64,718 samples so far including 1,25,703 samples on December 7, 2020.
The Covid-19 toll increased to 1,300 in Bihar on December 8, 2020, with 3 new deaths being recorded in the state during last 24 hours including 2 from Gaya and 1 from Gopalganj.
