23 IPS officers shuffled, Gangwar made ADG, Special Branch

Patna : Bihar Government on December 31, 2017, transferred 23 IPS officers includind SPs of West Champaran, Supaul and Jamui. Arvind Singh Bist, an IPS officer of 1987 batch and ADG, Police Modernisation, was transferred and appointed ADG, Training, while Alok Raj, an IPS officer of 1989 batch and ADG, Law & Order, was given additional charge of ADG, Railways.

Jitendra Singh Gangwar, an IPS officer of 1993 batch and IG, Special Branch, has been appointed ADG, Special Branch. He was recently promoted to ADG rank. Alok Raj was holding charge of ADG, Special Branch, so far. Gangwar will also hold additional charge of ADG, Economic Offence Unit (EOU).

Sunil Kumar Jha, an IPS officer of 1993 batch and IG, Darbhanga, has been appointed ADG, State Vigilance Investigation Bureau. Jha was also promoted to ADG rank recently. Jitendra Kumar, also a 1993 batch IPS officer and Special Secretary, Home ( Special), has been appointed ADG, State Crime Record Bureau, Technical Services and Modernisation. He wasalso promoted recently to ADG rank.

Amit Kumar, an IPS officer of 1994 batch and IG, Railways, was transferred and appointed Special Secretary, Home ( Special),replacing Jitendra Kumar. Pankaj Kumar Darad, an IPS officer of 1995 batch and IG, Provision, was transferred and appointed IG, Darbhanga Zone, replacing Sunil Kumar Jha. Kamal Kishore Singh, an IPS officer of 1996 batch andIG, State Crime REcord Bureau, has been additional Charge of IG, Provision. Paras Nath, an IPS officer of 1996 batch and IG, Police Headquarters, has been given additional charge of IG, Anti-Terrorist Squad.

Ratan Sanjay Katiyar, an IPS officer of  1998 batch and IG, Special Vigilance Unit, was transferred and appointed IG, Prohibition. He would continue to hold additional charge of IG, Special Vigilance Unit. Pradip Kumar Srivastava, also an IPS officer of 1998 batch and IG, Technival Services and Wireless, was transferred IG, Weaker Sections, CID. Mohd Rahmad, an IPS officer of 200o batch and DIG, Shahabad Range who was recently promoted to IG rank, has transferred and appointed IG, Technical Services.

Vinay Kumar, an IPS officer of  2004 batch and SP, West Champaran, was promotd and appointed DIG, Magadh Range. Vijay Kumar Verma, another IPS officer of 2004 batch and SP (S), Special Branch, has been promoted and appointed DIG, Saran Range. Kumar Eklay, an IPS officer of 2004 batch and SP, Supaul, has been promoted and appointed DIG, Shahabad Range. Ratna Mani Sanjiv ( 2004 batch), Assistant Director, Bihar Police Academy, DIG, Homeguards. Rajendra Prasad ( 2004 batch), BMP -4, Dumraon, has been promoted and made DIG, BMP ( Northen region), Muzaffarpur.

Suresh Prasad Chaudhary (2004 batch), SP, Vigilance Investigation Bureau, has been promoted and appointed DIG, Kosi Range. Jaykant ( 2009 batch), SP, Jamui, was transferred and appointed SP, West Champaran, while Gaurav Manga ( 2013 batch), ASP, Special Branch, was transferred and made City SP, Gaya. Jaggunnathredy Jalal Reddy ( 2013 batch), City SP, Gaya, was shifted to Jamui as SP. Rakesh Kumar ( 2013 batch), SP, Buxar, has been given additional charge of Commandant, BMP -4, Dumraon. Mrityunjay Kumar Chaudhary, who was recently promoted to SP rank, was appointed SP, Supaul. The Home ( Police) Department issued a notification to this effect on December 31 night.
