Patna : COVID-19 cases recorded so far in Bihar rose to 2,27,433 with 517 more persons including 181 from Patna, 35 from Saharsa, 26 from Gaya, 26 from Muzaffarpur, and 19 each from Araria and Nawada testing positive to the disease on November 15, 2020.

According to State Health Department figure, 18 persons each from Jehanabad and Katihar, 17 from Nalanda, 16 from Purnia, 14 from Bhagalpur, 11 from Supaul, and 10 each from Sitamarhi and Lakhisarai, also tested positive to COVID-19 on November 15, 2020.

Of the 2,27,433 COVID cases recorded till date in Bihar, altogether 2,20,461  patients have been declared cured including 597 during last 24 hours with the recovery rate being 96.93%. The State has tested 1,29,77,501 samples so far including 1,08,096 samples on November 15, 2020. The number of active cases in Bihar was 5,782 on November 16, 2020.

COVID-19 toll climbed to 1,189 on November 16, 2020, with 5 new deaths being recorded in the state during last 24 hours including one each from Patna, Araria, Bhojpur, Vaishali, and Kaimur. The toll increased to 299 in Patna on November 16, 2020.
