Patna : COVID-19 cases recorded so far in Bihar rose to 2,20,246 on November 5, 2020, afternoon, as 741 more persons including 189 from Patna, 44 from Purnia, 37 from Nalanda, 32 from Gaya, and 30 from Muzaffarpur, tested positive to it on November 4, 2020.

According to State Health Department figure, 27 persons from Araria, 27 from Supaul, 24 from Rohtas, 24 from West Champaran, 20 from Saran, 19 each from Saharsa, Munger and Nawada, 17 from East Champaran, 16 from Aurangabad, and 14 each from Madhepura and Madhubani, also tested positive to COVID-19 on November 5, 2020.

Of the 2,20,246 COVID-19 recorded so far in the state, altogether 2,12,298 patients have been declared cured including 467 during last 24 hours with the recovery rate being 96.39%. The state has tested 1,16,01,204 samples till date including 1,38,539 samples on November 4, 2020. The number of active cases was 6,826 in Bihar on November 5.

COVID-19 toll jumped to 1,121 in Bihar on November 5 with 8 new deaths being recorded during last 24 hours including 2 from Patna, and one each from Bhojpur, Begusarai, Buxar, Muzaffarpur, Kishanganj, and Gopalganj. The toll increased to 272 in Patna on November 5.
