Patna : On the last day of electioneering for the 3rd phase of Bihar Assembly elections, Bihar CM and JD(U) National President Nitish Kumar surprised everyone by announcing at Dhamdaha meeting in Purnia District on November 5, 2020, that this was his last election.

Addressing a big poll meeting at Dhahdaha in Purnia District in Eastern Bihar on, Nitish announced that Bihar Assembly Elections 2020 is going to be the last election of his political career. Nitish made this announcement at the last rally he addressed on November 5  for third phase of Bihar Assembly polls scheduled for November 7, 2020. “This is the last day of electioneering and this is also my last election. All is well that ends well,” Nitish said at Dhamdaha in Purnia District.

Interacting directly with the public in five assembly constituencies in Katihar and Purnia districts, Nitish highlighted how his government always worked to empower women and give them a respectable place in the society.
Addressing a gathering in Katihar, Nitish said, “When the bicycle scheme was started, people used to criticise me saying that girls will be bullied. But, I was adamant in my resolve to empower the girls. I said that no one will tease and we gave bicycles to all the girls and empowered them.”
Nitish also said that while for him the development of Bihar is priority, for some people it’ is the development of their own family and fulfilment of their greed that matters the most.” Some people just blabber and do not work for people. We do whatever we promised. We are dedicated to take Bihar to the next leve,” The Chief Minister said. “Do not forget, earlier people could not even get out of their houses in the evening, they could not reach anywhere by road. That was how they ruled,” Nitish said while reminding the people of reign of terror in Lalu-Rabri regime.

Enumerating on his plan of providing better facilities to the people in rural areas and providing youth with better employment opportunities, Nitish said that if the NDA is again voted to power, he will work on these major issues at lightning fast speed.
Addressing a big meeting at Manihari in Katihar District, Nitish said, ” We started Jeevika Group with 10 lakh women with a
loan from the World Bank. Now we have added 1.2 million women to the group and increased their family income.&quot. We are implementing new industrial policy, this will help in setting up new industries in the state and everyone will get employment in the state itself.”
Showing his attachment to the Seemanchal region, Nitish while addressing  a meeting in Katihar said, “As you know, we have had such an old relationship. Ever since we got a chance to work, we  worked for the development of every section, worked for the development of every region.”
In Rupauli of Purnia, where JD (U) has fielded women candidates, Nitish while appealing to people to vote for her said, “ I have seen that there is a lot of commitment in women. They talk about development in their area with greater vision.”
