New Delhi : The President of India Ram Nath Kovind on October 25, 2019, transferred J&K Governor Satya Pal Malik  and appointed him as Governor of Goa. Girish Chandra Murmu, a 1985 batch Gujarat cadre IAS officer, has been appointed Lieutenant Governor of Jammu & Kashmir. Murmu will be the first Lieutenant Governor of Union Territory of J &K.

Radha Krishna Mathur has been appointed as first Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh. Mathur is a retired 1977 batch IAS officer of Tripura cadre. Mathur is a former Chief Information Commissioner of India. P S Sreedharan Pillai has been appointed as Governor of Mizoram. These appointments will take effect from the dates they assume charge of their respective offices.
