Ara : One person was killed and six others injured as two groups of villagers exchanged fire at Umraoganj under Bihia police station in Bhojpur district on June 13, 2019, over a piece of land. Tension prevails in and around Umraoganj village following the incident.
Police brought the body over to Ara Sadar Hospital for post-mortem and admitted the injured there. SHO, Bihia police station, said that Atawaroo Yadav and Sri Bhagwan Yadav of village Umraoganj had an old dispute over a piece of land at the village. on June 13 morning, people from both the groups clashed over grazing of cattle on the disputed land and also started firing indiscriminately in which Yamuna Yadav, 55, son of late Lal Mohar Yadav of the village was killed on spot while 6 other persons were injured. The injured included Saral Yadav, younger brother of Yamuna Yadav, Sonu Yadav, Dharmendra Yadav, Suman Yadav, Raj Kumar Yadav, and Pintu Yadav.
