Patna : Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) defeated Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) by 45 runs in the 48th match of IPL-12 at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad, on April 29, 2019, late night, with fast bowler K Khaleel Ahmed and spinner Rashid Khan taking three wickets each and its opener David Warner scoring 81 in 56 balls with 7 fours and 2 sixes. KXIP had won the toss but opted to bowl. Batting first, SRH had scored 212/6 in 20 overs. SRH have now 12 points from 12 matches while KXIP have10 points from 12 matches.

Chasing a target of 213, KXIP could score only 167/8 in 20 overs with opener Lokesh Rahul scoring 79 in 56 balls hitting 4 fours and 5 sixes.
