Notorious criminal Mantu Yadav arrested at Ara

Ara : Bhojpur police, on a tip off, on February 10, 2019, arrested notorious criminal Mantu Yadav of village Kodha in Katihar district and member of Kodha gang near the State Bank of India, Pakari branch, under Nawada police station, Ara, in connection with cash loot and snatching. One of Mantu’s aide, however, managed to escape.

SHO, Nawada police station, Subodh Kumar, said that some miscreants had snatched Rs 8,000 from a clerk of the education department three days ago and about Rs 1.25 lakh from a retired employee near a petrol pump in Dharahara locality under Ara Town police station about a fortnight ago. Following mobile surveillance, police arrested Mantu Yadav when he was planning another crime. He said that Mantu Yadav, during interrogation, confessed his involvement in incidents of snatching and loot.
