New Delhi : Bharat Bhushan Vyas, a retired 1986 batch IAS officer of J&K cadre, took the oath of Office and Secrecy as Member, Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), on December 13, 2018. The oath was administered by Arvind Saxena, Chairman, UPSC.

Vyas was born on November 15, 1957. He has done BSc (Botany). He joined Indian Administrative Service in 1986. He served in State & Centre in various capacities and retired as Chief Secretary, Jammu & Kashmir. Before assuming charge as Member, UPSC, he was serving as Adviser to the Governor, Jammu & Kashmir, according to a PIB release.
