Bettiah : Two brothers : Minibhusan Gupta and Abhijit Gupta, sons of Jainarain Gupta of village Lalgarh, were killed on the spot when a tractor coming from opposite direction rammed their bike around 7.30 pm on November 29, 2018, when they were returning home from Bettiah bus stand after closing their shops under Bettiah Sub-Division in West Champaran district.
The tractor driver escaped after the incident. Angry villagers placed the bodies on Bettiah- Sarisawa road near Lalgarh demanding immediate arrest of driver. On getting such information, West Champaran SP Jayant Kant, reached the spot with other police officials and pacified the protesters after which traffic resumed. Police brought the bodies over to MJK district hospital, Bettiah, for post-mortems. Sources said that tractor driver was yet to be arrested.
