Dhanbad (Jharkhand) : Dhanbad based anti- corruption bureau (ACB) sleuths led by an inspector arrested Irshad Ahmad, Gram Sevak, Karmo panchyat under Pirtand block in Giridih district, while accepting Rs 3,000 as bribe from a farmer R K Mahto on block office campus.
Irshad Ahmad had been demanding Rs 3,000 from a farmer R K Mahto to get his mutation work done even as the latter repeatedly expressed his inability to pay the amount due to his poor financial condition.. When his work was not done, Mahto lodged a complaint with the ACB which laid the trap and arrested Irshad Ahmad and brought him over to Dhanbad for interrogation.
