Saharsa: A Chowkidar Hira Paswan was shot at and seriously injured by two bike borne unidentified criminals at 8.45 pm on July 19, 2017, on Bherdari Bustee Road under Sadar police station in Saharsa district when he was going on duty fr0m Sadar police station. Police admitted him Sadar Hospital, Saharsa.
The bullet hit Hira Paswan on his waist when he was going to village Bherdari on duty. At Sadar Hospital, Hira Paswan said as soon as he reached near Bherdari, two bike borne criminals started assaulting him. Suddenly, they saw the headlights of a vehicle after which they fired on him and escaped. SI, Sadar police station, Niranjan Kumar Singh, reached the spot and took the injured Chowkidar to Sadar Hospital. SI Singh said that Hira Paswan had some dispute with some villagers and the incident could be the fallout of that rivalry.
