Patna: Tall claims of intensive patrolling in the city was exposed when some criminals opened fire on busy Ashok Raj Path on January 29 evening and walked away from there unchallenged. The incident took place close to BN College under Pirbahore police station, Patna.
The criminals fired five rounds in the air and the local shopkeepers downed their shutters in panic. One of the criminals reached a shop,`Avaran Vastralaya’, and tried to lift the closed shutter. The criminal then walked some distance and boarded a bike and vanished in one of the lanes there. On getting information, local police reached the spot and started investigation into the matter.
The cops also watched the footages of a CCTV camera nearby and saw two youths firing in the air. The firing by the criminals has angered the locals, who came on the road. It may be mentioned here that two days back, a medicine shop-owner was shot at opposite gate number-2 of PMCH under the same police station.

This really made me think about how rarely we give ourselves the space to sit with an uncomfortable ending anymore. In a culture built around quick dopamine hits and tidy resolutions, lingering in a complex story feels like a quiet act of patience. It’s a good reminder that the best books don’t just offer an escape—they actually teach us how to pay closer attention to the world around us.
