Ara : Two Hundred convicted prisoners lodged in Ara jail will get wages for their labour the Department of Home (Prisons), Bihar, has sanctioned Rs 30 lakh for the purpose. The convicted prisoners will get the amount on August 15, 2019.
Superintendent, Ara Jail, Superintendent said that 200 prisoners , who were convicted by the court, are lodged in Ara jail for the last several years and they were engaged in a number of menial works including agriculture inside the jail as per the direction of the court but they were never given wages for their labour. But now, the Department of Home (Prisons) has sanctioned Rs 30 lakh for them which would be distributed among the 200 convicted prisoners of Ara jail on August 15, 2019.
