Nawada: Nawada police thwarted attempt to smuggle in banned liquor from Jharkhand into Bihar when they arrested four persons astride two cars with 20 cartons of Royal Stag brand Indian made foreign liquor (IMFL) in the wee hours on Monday. The liquor was kept in an Indica and Innova car.

Rajauli police station SHO Sanjay Gupta said arrested persons were identified as 32 year old Sandip Kumar Bhadani, son of Chintaman Ram Bhadani of Tilaiya under Koderma PS, Jharkhand, Tulsi Sao, 48,also from Koderma besides 45 year old Ramnath Prasad, son of late Harihar Prasad, and Ramnath Kumar, 20, son of Jairam Rai, both from Patna city. Over 1,000 bottles of IMFL have been seized byRajauli police in the last fortnight.
