Munger: : As the Jamalpur-Howrah Superfast train and Jamalpur -Sahebganj Express train reached Jamalpur railway station on Wednesday, the rail police started search operation in all the compartments of the two trains during which 190 countrymade pistols were seized.
Rail SP Swapana G Meshram told mediaperson on Wednesday evening at Jamalpur GRP that 190 pieces of countrymade pistols were seized from different compartments of the trains and two persons: Md Aftab and Md Akib Hussain, both residents of village Bardeh under Munger Mufassil police station, were arrested. Both of them told the police that they were bringing the firearms from Kolkata to give them finishing touch before their sale in he market at different places in Uttar Pradesh and Delhi. Village Bardeh in Munger has become infamous for running of underground arms factories.
