19 yr. old girl elopes with married man in Bhojpur, recovered by police

Ara : A 19 year girl of village Kamaria under Bihia police station in Bhojpur District eloped with 30 year old Sonu Sah, father of three children, of Bikrampur village under Tier police station area on November 30, 2019. The matter came to light after a named FIR was lodged by Tier police station against Sonu Sah on the statement of the father of the girl on December 4, 2019, in connection with kidnapping of his daughter.

After institution of FIR, police swung into action and recovered the girl from village Jitaura under Piro police station in Bhojpur District on December 6, 2019, and also arrested Sonu Sah from there. Police brought the girl over to Ara Sadar Hospital for medical examination and also produced her before the court to get her statement recorded under Section 164 of CrPC.

SHO, Tier police station, Harendra Prasad said that the girl used to visit Bihia daily for study purpose while Sonu Sah, who ran an egg shop at Bikrampur village, also used to visit Bihia for marketing on an autorickshaw. On way, the girl and Sonu Sah came in contact and also fell in love. The SHO said that the girl eloped with Sonu Sah, who took her to his father-in-law’s place at village Jitaura with the help of his wife. Meanwhile, police got information about his hideout and conducted raids and recovered the girl from the house of his father-in-law and also arrested Sonu Sah, who was planning to escape to New Delhi with the girl leaving his wife and three children behind.
