Ara : An elderly person and a youth were crushed to death under the wheel of a running train in between Ara and Jagjiwan Halt under Danapur Division of East Central Railway, Hajipur, on December 6, 2019.
The Government Railway Police (GRP), Ara, brought the bodies over to Ara Sadar Hospital for post-mortem. The identity of the deceased was still to be established. SHO, GRP, Shahnawaz Khan said that he got information that bodies of two persons were lying on railway track in between Ara and Jagjiwan Halt. He along with police force rushed to the spot and recovered the bodies but no one could identify the bodies. He said that the GRP brought the bodies over to Ara Sadar Hospital for post-mortem.
