Patna : Shooter Saurabh Chaudhary, 16, from Uttar Pradesh, India, won Gold Medal in 10m Air Pistol at the Asian Games at Jakarta, Indonesia, on August 21, 2018, on debut creating a new Asian Games record of 240.7 points. This was India’s third Gold Medal at the on going Asian Games.  Abhishekh Verma, 29, India, won Bronze Medal in the same event on debut with 219.3 points.

Saurabh is the fifth Indian shooter to win a Gold Medal at the Asian Games. Saurabh is son of a farmer and hails from village Kalina in Meerut, UP. He had won Gold Medal at Junior World Cup in Germany few months back. He is a student of Class XI.
