Ara : Patna police with the help of their Bhojpur counterpart conducted raids at a jewellery shop at vegetable market at Bihia under Bihia police station in Bhojpur district on August 21, 2018, and arrested its owner Biraju Sonar and his son Vikas Kumar for purchasing of stolen articles from the criminals and also sealed the shop. Later, police took the arrested persons with them to Patna.
SHO, Bihia police station, said that some miscreants had burgled the official flat of an Under Secretary, Planning and Development Department, Rajiv Kumar, at Patna recently and also killed him. Patna police had arrested two criminals in this connection who confessed that the stolen jewellery were sold to Birju Sonar at Bihia in Bhojpur district. On their revelation, Patna police along with one of the arrested miscreants reached Bihia for identification and arrested Birju Sonar and his son Vikas Kumar.
