Patna: Altogether 15 persons including a woman were arrested by Patna Police on Wednesday who have launched a massive campaign against liquor traders across the district after getting warning from Zonal IG N H Khan and Senior SP (SSP) Manu Maharaaj recently. Police also seized 281 litre of liquor manufactured from mahua and also damaged several manufacturing units.
A Maner police team carried out raid and arrested three persons and seized 50 litre of countrymade liquor from their possession while Rupaspur police arrested seven persons and recovered 90 litre mahua liquor from their possession. A Phulwarisharif police team arrested a woman and recovered 38 litre countrymade liquor from her possession while a Paliganj police team arrested three persons and seized 28 litre countrymade liquor from their possession. The police team also damaged several bhattis (liquor manufacturing units) there. A Bypass police team arrested one person and seized 75 litre toddy from his possession.
