Patna : Police on October 10, 2017, arrested 14 members of an inter-state gang of criminals including their kingpin Sahzad near Miller School under Kotwali police station, Patna, with Rs 41,000 cash, 15 mobile phones, 200 US dollar, two pistols, seven live rounds and some stolen jewellery.
SSP PatnaManu Maharraj had received information that the members of the gang had gathered at Patna to commit some major crime after which he directed the City SP, Central, to crack down on them. Police put barricade on the road near Miller School. Seeing police, some criminals managed to escape on autos. But, police chased then and nabbed 14 criminals. The SSP said that Sahzad belongs to Jakkanpur area, Patna, and had been jailed severals times including in Delhi, Agra, Bijnor and Patna. He said that Sahzad had network in different parts of the country.
