New Delhi : A total of 13,203 new Covid-19 cases were recorded in India in last 24 hours taking the tally to 1,06,67,736 cases in the country at 8 am on January 25,2021. On the other hand, 13,298 Covid-19 patients were declared cured /discharged in the country in last 24 hours taking the tally to 1,03,30,084 at 8 am on January 25, 2021, exceeding the number of active cases (1,84,182) by a gigantic margin of 1,01,45,902, a drop of 226 cases in last 24 hours.
The active cases accounted for just 1.73% of the total cases (1,06,67,736) in India on January 25, 2021. India has tested 19,23,37,117 samples so far including 5,70,246 samples on January 24, 2021.
Of the 1,06,67,746 Covid-19 cases recorded in India, altogether 1,03,30,084 patients have been declared cured with the recovery rate (RR) being 96.83%. Meanwhile, a total of 16,15,504 Healthcare Workers had been vaccinated against Covid-19 till January 24, 2021, including 33,303 beneficiaries on January 24.
The Covid-19 toll increased to 1,53,470 in India on January 25, 2021, with 131 new deaths being recorded in the country in last 24 hours including 45 in Maharashtra, 20 in Kerala, 9 in Delhi, 8 in Chhattisgarh, 8 in West Bengal, 8 in Uttar Pradesh, 7 in Tamilnadu, 4 in Karnataka, 3 in Bihar, 3 in Madhya Pradesh, 2 in Punjab, 2 in Jharkhand, 1 in Gujarat, and 1 in Haryana.India had recorded 155 new deaths on January 24, 2021.
