Patna: Under `Operation Vishwas’, different police stations across Patna district on December 9 carried out raids against those involved in manufacture and sale of liquor in the district.
According to a press release issued by Patna SSP office, altogether 21 persons were arrested from different police stations in Patna district. Police also seized 1,281 litre of countrymade liquor, 10 bottles of IMFL, two kg Ganja besides a countrymade pistol during the raids. The raids were carried out in areas falling under Parsa Bazaar, Bihta, Punpun, Gardanibagh, Sachivalaya, Barh, Salimpur, Naubatpur, Bhagvanganj, Kadamkuan and Athmalgola police stations. Operation Vishwas was launched by Patna Police recently against liquor mafias.
