Samastipur : Additional District and Sessions Judge, Rosera Court, in Samastipur district, Ved Prakash Singh on December 14, 2017, sentenced to rigorous life imprisonment 12 persons for kidnapping and killing Ramashray Yadav, son of Gainu Yadav of village Kokani under Hasanpur police station in Samastipur district on July 20, 2006. The court also slapped a fine of Rs 10,000 each on all the 12 convicts.
The 12 accused sentenced to rigorous life imprisonment by the court included Yogendra Mahto, Harendra Mahto, Kishun Mahto, Ashok Mahto, Surendra Mahto, Birendra Mahto, Jitendra Mahto, Chhoteylal Mahto, Bhola Mahto, Rajesh Mahto, Babloo Mahto and Nagina Mahto, all residents of village Karsauli under Hasanpur police station.
Gainu Yadav had lodged an FIR against with Hasanpur against 12 persons charging them with kidnapping and killing his son Ramashray Yadav on July 20, 2006, according to Additional Public Prosecutor (APP) Shiv Shankar Yadav, who appeared for prosecution. Senior Advocate Ramashish appeared for the accused.
