Patna : A total of 111 new Covid-19 cases were recorded in Bihar on March 22, 2021, taking the number of active cases in the state to 623 in Bihar including 300 in Patna on March 23, 2021, from 560 active cases on March 22. The tally of Covid-19 cases rose to 2,63,770 cases in the state on March 23, 2021.
The 111 new Covid-19 cases included 50 from Patna, 8 from Begusarai, 7 from Bhagalpur, 6 from Bhojpur, 5 from West Champaran, 4 from Rohtas, and 3 each from Gopalganj and Kishanganj.
Of the 2,63,770 Covid-19 cases recorded so far in Bihar, altogether 2,61,583 patients have been declared cured including 46 in last 24 hours with the recovery rate (RR) dropping to 99.17 % on March 23, 2021, from 99.20% on March 22. Bihar has so far tested 2,32,66,156 samples including 54,658 samples on March 22.
The Covid-19 toll jumped to 1,563 in Bihar on March 23, 2021, with 2 new deaths being recorded in the state in last 24 hours including one each in Patna and Sitamarhi. With it, the toll increased to 452 in patna and 18 in Sitamarhi on March 23.
