Ara : A youth Ambika is frantically searching for his 11 year old sister for the last 18 days but to no avail so far. Police have also failed to locate her. Laxmi Kumari, 11, daughter of Shivjas Singh of village Saneya under Piro police station in Bhojpur district had gone to her aunt (bua) at village Giddha under Dawath police station in Rohtas district on June 4, 2017, but disappeared from there on June 6, 2017. A complaint was lodged with Dawat police station in this connection.

In the meantime, Charpokhari police recovered a 11 year old girl from village Sahaspura under Charpokhari police station on June 7, 2017, and handed her over to the Child Welfare Committee (CWC) at Ara. Chairperson, CWC, Sunita Singh, said that she had handed over the girl to the authorities of the Short Stay Home for her rehabilitation. An officer of  Short Stay Home, Neelam Nikunj, said that the girl was sent to Ara Sadar Hospital for medical examination on June 9, 2017, but she once again disappeared from there.

An FIR has been lodged with Ara Town police station on the statement of Neelam Nikunj in connection with disappearance of the girl from Ara Sadar Hospital, said the SHO Town police station on June 24, 2017. The SHO said that the police were searching for the girl but were clueless so far. He said that police would recover the girl very soon.
