10 passengers killed in Sitamarhi accident

Sitamarhi : Ten passengers were killed as a private bus carrying more than 50 passengers fell down from a bridge near village Bhanaspatti on NH 77 under Runnisaidpur police station in Sitamarhi district on March 17, 2018, late evening. The bridge is located on a tributary of river Bagmati and water beneath it has dried.

The bus was coming from Aurai block headquarters in Muzaffarpur district and was on way to Muzaffarpur town. According to the villagers, more than fifty passengers were aboard  the bus. The local people are trying to rescue the passengers. The injured were shifted to Sri Krishna Medical College and Hospital (SKMCH),  Muzaffarpur.
Sitamarhi DM Rajiv Raushan and SP Hari Prasath have reached the place of occurrence and  supervising the rescue operation.
