Bettiah : One Raghav Singh was killed and his elder brother Dhevar Singh was injured in a violent land dispute in Baijua Gandak diara under Shrinagar police station in broad daylight on June 10, 2017, and was admitted to MJK district hospital, Bettiah, in West Champaran district, where the doctors referred him to Patna Medical College Hospital (PMCH) the same day.
According to local sources, there was land dispute between two partners Dhever Singh and Ramdeo Singh. Dhever Singh, a resident of Biddupur under Taraiya police station in UP, with his younger brother Raghav Singh had come at Baijua Gandak diara to take the possession of his ancestral land which led to heated exchange between the two sides.
Meanwhile, Ranjan Singh alias Chhota Singh, son of Ramdeo Singh, fired on Raghav and Dhever Singh from his illegal firearm. Raghav Singh died on the spot and the autopsy was performed at district hospital Bettiah. His elder brother Dhever Singh too received serious gun shot injuries and was referred to PMCH from MJK hospital, Bettiah. Shrinagar police station have lodged a case in this connection.
