1 killed, 2 injured in firing during a marriage at Bhojpur village

Ara : A teenage boy was killed while two others were injured in a firing during a marriage ceremony at village Dubval under Shahpur police station on May 14, 2018, night. Police brought the body over to Ara Sadar Hospital for post-mortem and admitted the injured there but the doctors referred both of them to Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH) in view of their critical condition.

The deceased was identified as Ramesh Kumar, 15, son of Brahmeshwar Singh of Dubval village while the injured were identified as Ompraksh Yadav and Bimlesh Kumar, both sons of Ram Barat Yadav.

SHO, Shahpur police station, said that a marriage was being solemnized at the house of Ashok Kumar at village Dubval on May 14, 2018, night. A dance programme was also organized on the occasion. During the dance programme, someone started firing in which a youth was killed on the spot while two others were injured.

This was not the first instance of firing during marriage ceremony. At least half a dozen persons have been killed so far in firing during marriage this season in Bhojpur district.
